Indie Talk: NY Science Fiction Film Festival

Festival director Daniel Abella joins us to talk about the brand new New York Science Fiction Film Festival, and what inspired him to start up a companion program to the popular Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival. Daniel talks about the phenomenal response when submissions opened, and how diverse the films were in content and in internationally created projects. Science fiction, supernatural and some with a slight horror flavor, there are plenty of shorts and features at the festival for genre lovers to enjoy. There's even a documentary about building a time machine, that was inspired by the H.G. Wells' classic tale. The festival runs from January 20-22, playing at the Instituto Cervantes, Producers Club, The Roxy Hotel Cinemas and Anthology Film Archives.
